Finally, a movie worth the money!! Lionsgate Films have forged a crafty sequel to the “sAW” series. Returning director from sAW 2, Darren Lynn Bousman, takes sAW 3 to new heights with more blood and guts. With that being said, if you are disturbed about seeing this type of film, then don’t go see it and don’t say it sucks without seeing it. To recap the first two movies quickly:

sAW: Stellar performances by every actor, even Leigh Whannell, played Adam and is writer of the series. Director James Wan makes a blockbuster movie in just 18 days and a 1 million dollar budget. Big time actors Danny Glover and Cary Elwes carry the roles given and perform famously to bring this new kind of thriller to an unpredictable twist ending.

sAW II: Actors Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, and Dina Myers return from the first movie and bring us on a slightly different approach to the original. First time director, Darren Lynn Bousman takes the helm with a budget of 4 million dollars and 3 weeks and creates a much more graphically intense, yet suspenseful tale which features newer cast members Donnie Whalburg, Frankie G, and Emmanuelle Vaugier, Beverly Mitchell, and Tim Burd. The twists and turns that this movie takes on one hand were very original, but just when you thought all was done, bang, another interesting turn.

Now for sAW III: Once again Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, and Dina Myer return to what could defiantly be the series swansong. If Lionsgate is smart, they could conclude the series with this film and walk away with 3 movies that will have made a 1000% profit and leave the series as a respectable trilogy – or – they can try to exploit the series for a fourth film, which in my opinion would ruin the series and even for a profit, be a long term downfall to the company. In other words, quit while you’re ahead.
